Date: Saturday, June 13th, 2026
Location: Okanagan Centre Hall, 11099 Maddock Ave, Lake Country, BC V4V 2J7
Location Notes: the location is a community centre in a very cute area about 25 minutes outside of Kelowna, or 15 minutes from the airport, or 10 minutes to the next closest town, Lake Country. The venue is accessible by wheelchair. We will be a short walk to the lake. We would encourage to bring your swimsuit and feel free to run off for a dip at your leisure!
Accomodation Notes: there are hotels in Lake Country (10 mins away), near the airport (15 mins away) and Kelowna (20-25 mins away). There are a very limited number of airbnbs within a 5-8 mins drive of the centre itself.
Downtown Kelowna is nice, but not a metropolis. There will be streets blocked off for pedestrian only access, will be very vibrant and summery. Is also 30ish minutes away from the venue. Swankiest hotel is Delta Grand, for something more reasonable but still downtown I might suggest looking at the Royal Anne, or Hotel Zed. For true affordable accomodation, there is a HI Hostel in Kelowna.
The Okanagan is largely a rural fruit growing region, and staying in and amongst that can be very rewarding in its own right. The area surrounding the venue has a handful of wineries, a couple beaches, is on one lake and 15 mins from another that has turquoise water the in the summer . There are a small number of Airbnbs or Vrbos nearby that are splendid. There are also two hotels in Lake Country (Super 8 by Wyndham, and Lake Country Inn) that are perfectly adequate and more affordable options nearby the venue.
There are also a handful of hotels near the Kelowna Airport.
We would also encourage you to have a look at what might suit you best. There are a number of options ranging from campsites with cabins, to traditional BnBs, to marine hotels that might peak your interest if you’re willing to drive a bit and get creative.
Transportation Notes: If you are coming for the weekend, you will likely need either to rent a car, or set aside some money for taxis.
Kelowna Yellow Cabs services the area, and can arrive at the venue within 15 or 20 minutes notice. A one way trip to Kelowna from the venue is likely to be $70-$90 before tip. It will be significantly less if you are staying closer to the venue.
Vibe notes: this will be a relaxed and laid back affair with a few formalities. It will be wholesome, and very queer and trans friendly. It will also be friendly to differing energy levels – while we don’t have a nap room to offer, we are very happy for folks to rest as needed, and take time outs as they see fit. The venue is nestled in a lovely park adjacent to some great streets that make for great quiet wandering

The Okanagan is a beautfiul part of Canada, and we would strongly advise you make the most of your trip out here and see some of the surrounding areas.
Building your own adventure here is definitely suggested, though we can provide some ideas for local excursions.
